Marketo Moves to New Dublin European HQ

Silicon Valley’s fastest-growing private company ramps up Irish recruitment
Dublin; Friday, 10th February, 2012: Marketo, which specialises in a hot new area of cloud computing called Revenue Performance Management (RPM), has moved into its new European headquarters in Leopardstown, Co Dublin. The 7,000 sq ft premises is located at Cairn House, South County Business Park. (Letting agents: HT Meagher O’Reilly).
The cloud computing company, which has already employed almost 20 Irish staff, is currently recruiting for engineering, support and marketing positions.
Marketo announced last year that it plans to create up to 125 jobs over the next three years in an IDA supported initiative. The company, which reported 130% revenue growth last year, had been operating its European headquarters and support centre from temporary premises nearby in Sandyford while it finalised its new offices.
Commenting on fears over slowing European economies, Fergus Gloster, Marketo’s managing director Europe, was bullish. “Marketo was born out of the recession. We have seen almost 1500% growth in the US from 2008-2010, proving that our technology can help businesses grow even in tough economic times. When there is nowhere left to cut, the focus must be on increasing revenues.”

Reflecting demand, Marketo was last year named Silicon Valley’s fastest-growing privately held company by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Based on the company’s revenue from fiscal 2008 to 2010, Marketo earned the top ranking by growing 1,486 percent, with 80 percent of that growth from the company employing its own marketing practices. A funding round last year, led by Battery Ventures, gives Marketo a war chest in excess of $70m.
